How much is tuition?

The cost to participate in the Leadership Union Grove program is $700. 

Who Pays The Tuition?

Generally an employer or organization sponsors a participant but some students have paid their own tuition. Limited scholarships may be available for those students who indicate a need for such assistance. Contact

What does the tuition include?

Tuition includes books and class materials, speakers/trainers, all activities during the classes, breakfast & lunch on class days, and the graduation ceremony.   

What is the time commitment?

Classes are held the 2nd Thursday of each month September through May from 8am – 5pm.  In addition, each class is responsible for a group project that may involve some time outside of class times. You will also have a few “homework” assignments such as a ride along with a police officer and attending a government meeting.

What if I miss a class?

Attendance at each session is mandatory.  We do understand that sometimes circumstances arise and a class or part of a class is missed.   If a participant misses multiple classes, their sponsor is notified and they will not be able to graduate from the program.  Once the program has begun there are no refunds for tuition.

WOuld a medical condition prevent me from being considered for LUG?

No, you could still participate in the program but opt out of doing any activities that are affected by your condition.
